Kyoto: Miho Museum

Miho Museum was (almost) hidden in the hills in the Kansai region. That piqued R's interest to visit it (and not the exhibits, at least initially).

Tunnelling
Amazing tunnel that connected the main museum with its 'welcome centre'.
Buggy ride available
Yes, that seemed like a crowd heading towards the museum.
Finally, the Museum. Facade disguised by the seemingly small entrance. This also resembled the old thatched-roof houses of Japan.

More of it
One of the very few artefacts which could be photographed.
There was a myriad ancient history artefacts. It sure made R recall her history lessons in school. If only the school had organised such field trip back then...

Another 'wow' factor here was the food. Initially, R wasn't that looking forward to the food coz it was just like simple, dainty, vegetarian sandwiches. But the fresh local produce and creative mix of filling was very delightful.

Yummy
Especially this rice
