Mt Cook's Hooker Valley Walk

Driving into Mt Cook Village with this view welcoming you, you know you gonna have an amazing time here. R had many jaw-dropped moment looking at the majestic mountains and being so close to it.

One may either start the Hooker Valley Walk from the village itself or drive a short distance to the "official" starting point. The estimated time taken to complete the hooker valley walk is 3 hours. However, it will help that tourist buffer a little more time because there was far too many moments to stop to indulge in the amazing view and capture photos for keepsake. The group started the walk at around 4pm and had to quicken their pace towards the return leg as sun sets around 6pm+ and they didn't want to be trapped by pitch-dark sky.

The first of the 3 swing bridges. It caught the group by surprise that it looked very sturdy but they felt it swung when crossing it.
Look what's beneath the feet.
The terrain are mostly flat ground. So, it's a more friendly for most people.
Flurries! Well, the weather was unpredictable.
Boardwalk in the middle.
The hooker valley lake. See the blob of ice on the left?
This the terminal of the trail. After which, it's U-turn back to the starting point via the same route.
R was very awe-struck by the mountains which engulfed her throughout the walk. Thought it was rather cold, the mountains had looked more charming with snow on them. This should be on all visitors' MUST-DO list when visiting this area.
