Kyoto: Fushimi Inari Shrine 伏見稲荷大社

This was an interesting place which Ru almost missed until she was introduced of it by another traveller. Fushimi Inari Shrine was just 2 train stops away from Kyoto Station.  It was famous for its many tori gates at the back of its main ground. The tori gates are built on a pavement that leads towards the summit of a mountain. As Ru wasn't in the hiking mood, she only walked about a quarter of the journey towards hilltop. If only she had the energy to go all the way up for an aerial view... Next time bah...
