Osaka: Sakura at Expo'70 Commemorative Park 万博記念公園

Expo'70 Commemorative Park 万博記念公園 (Banpaku-kinen-koen) was the first place that Ru visited after arriving in Osaka. Her journey to 追樱 (literally chase sakura) had commenced!

It was a really good choice to go because the sakura in the park was in Full Bloom! Woh! What a great start! Ru's pace in roaming the park was slow due to the photo taking moments. Gotta capture the blooms! In the end, she couldn't cover the huge park in the 3 hrs there.

The Japs really love the the Spring and Sakura. There was a large number of them visiting the place and enjoying life with Sakura. Laying a mat or pitching a tent to picnic... Lying around soaking in the sun and bloom... Playing frisbee, badminton... Walking the pram / dog... And, of coz it was great time to have pre-wedding shot too.

Being a park, there were many other flora in this park. Ru was happy that there was a field of her favourite tulips too.

Here leaving you with more sakura pics in the park...
