Nara 奈良: Mentouan 麺闘庵's unique 'parcel' udon
Mentouan was also one of the recommended places which was found online and from mags.
It was a windy and rather cold spring day. Hence, Mentouan was a very good choice for lunch. Was expecting crowd but, luckily, there wasn't any before lunch hour.
This was a creative and very filling dish. Udon was springy and soup broth was rather light.

Very close to Kofukuji Temple. When you are at Nakatanidou 中谷堂(famous shop selling mochi), turn into the alley right next to it. Look for the shop which is a few shops away.
